• Digital visualistation of the Exhibition Hasoru Malu 2.0

    Hasoru Malu virtual is on!!!

The virtual version presents the works from all 31 artists portrayed in the collective exhibition Hasoru Malu (‘to meet’, ‘meeting’ in Tetun). Thus, even though the show at Fundação Oriente ends on October 28th, 2023, you may visit its online version and share it with people around the world.

The virtual exhibition is an additional tool of Hasoru Malu programme, developed and implemented jointly by Fundação Oriente and artists to strengthen Timor-Leste’s art sector, with its social and economic benefits. Hasoru Malu virtual is essential to bringing artists’ recognition and positioning Timorese contemporary artists within the international arts scene.

Support it by visiting – and sharing widely!

  • Diligente

On display at the Foundation Oriente (until the end of July 2023), in Dili, the exhibition "UNITED COLORS OF TIMOR-LESTE | Prototype 001", by the conceptual artist Camilio. The installation, consisting of one suit and 18 pieces of Tais fabric, hand woven all over the country, to represent Timor-Leste as a whole in one piece: a suit made out of 18 pieces of Tais. The artist explains to Diligente the essence of the work "in which all women who have such a talent, creators/makers of these Tais and the linguistic groups that they represent" are represented and emphasizes that "in a country dominated by male politicians, where the rights of women, girls and children are not yet well guaranteed", we need to appeal to the Government (and too local leaders and all men) to do much better"

  • Insaka Artists Trust Catalogus augustus 2015

Insaka Artists Trust Catalogus augustus 2015. Curating at the Insaka Workshop 2015. Like it has happened before, Insaka International Artists Workshop, one of the few survivors of Triangle Network model, has yet again demonstrated the will power to pull through a tough financial environment to stage the seventh edition in style. All the ingredients of an international artists workshop were present, the format was standard, collaborations between artists was stunning, exchange of traditions and cultures was remarkable, the outcome was splendid and Insakartists was raising the Triangle banner higher than ever before.
