Result and outcome of 2 weeks interacting with the marketeers and research the market structure, visual art residency at studio 225, Chilenje market, Lusaka, Zambia, initiated by artist David Daut Makala.
The installation White Element(s) 12 Inside and Outside are made from the same 44 boxes, which represent all the sizes of items you can use to live a basic life, and you don't have to leave the market space to get all these items. The idea was to go around, find these items and measure them, in order to create a white box to represent the space it takes, but even more to interact with the marketeers and the people around them with having questions. At the opening of White Element(s) 12 Inside (phase 1) I went around to find the same people and invite them to have a look, also invited everyone that was showing interest in my white suite.
