In 2016, I organized two solo exhibitions for Modzi Arts (now internationally operating and a household name in Lusaka) as curator and exhibition designer. The first was the opening exhibition of Modzi, featuring artworks by Lawrence Chikwa. The second was the solo exhibition of Vincentio Phiri. Both are seniors in their careers and well-known artists in Zambia and beyond.

Exhibition concept, design, and funding of live painting event (of his largest painting) at East Park Mall with artist Vincentio Phiri. Also exhibited this large work in a major design store and later at the art and design fair.

Core tasks included project management at the CMU, which involved assembling and coordinating the project team, drafting project budgets and schedules, initiating and chairing meetings and team discussions / meetings, making agreements and contracts with exhibition designers, creators, partners, and artists. Additionally, closely monitored and checked agreements, schedules, progress, deadlines, and implementation, as well as overseeing the ongoing exhibition until coordinating dismantling and follow-up.

Familial Forestry / Bikaner / Rajasthan / India / BHAVISHY (Future) Forest Art Residency

Together with the founder/owner of Familial Forestry and the youth from Dungar College, Bikaner, Rajasthan, we planted a forest in the word BHAVISHY, meaning future. Funding through successful crowdfunding (VoorDeKunst.nl).

Solo exhibition of 18 tais (traditional textiles, associated with one of the 36 unique language groups of this island) along with the suit made from these tais. The suit represents the unity of East Timor with its 14 districts and 36 language groups. The suit is made for the president of East Timor, who in my opinion should wear a suit like this at official gatherings to fully represent East Timor.

Fundação Oriente / Dili / Timor-Leste / Solo exhibition ‘Patterns of a “normal” life’

15 white reliefs in the Carton Pierre technique with patterns of ordinary objects around me in my 'daily' life, executed as if they were artworks by Jan van Schoonhoven. One of my great inspirations. These reliefs, 2cm thick, are filled with tree and plant seeds, which grow out of the relief, if it is put in to the ground.

Eco Art Residence Sevan, 'Dreampark' / Sevan / Armenia / APAGA forest

International Art Residence organized by EU4Culture further executed by:
Regional Development and Research Center / Sevan Community Municipality / 'Sevan Youth Club' and New Art Stage (NAS). Together with the organizers and the youth of Sevan, we planted a forest in the word APAGA (future) in a abandoned Soviet park in Sevan. Funding through successful crowdfunding (VoorDeKunst.nl).

Fundação Oriente / Dili / East Timor solo exhibition ‘(IN)humane’

Solo exhibition with 3 large installations from my hand: 'Isolation survival sleep box' / A dying tree in a hospital bed attached to a heart monitor and 'ventilation' / a coffin designed for me and made for me titled 'ANTHROPOCENE PERPETRATOR VICTIM' engraved on the lid.

Exhibition in a café with 9 mathematical shapes (stretcher frames with canvas) treated with culturally significant food powders into monochrome colors.

Asked to create 2 location-specific installations for the Tumaini (Hope) festival in the refugee camp Dzaleka, Malawi. Executed in collaboration with people from the camp and the organization of this inspiring festival.
